Ron Shull - Senior Pastor
Rev. Ron Shull has served as the Senior Pastor of Gateway Church since November 1981. He is a graduate of Southwestern Assemblies of God University, with a BA in Pastoral Ministries. He was ordained as an Assemblies of God Minister in June of 1982. He is a gifted teacher who, with clarity and effectiveness, communicates the principles contained in the Word of God. He believes very strongly in a multifaceted approach in reaching people with the gospel. He has demonstrated his versatility through Illustrated Sermons, which present the gospel in an effective and creative manner. He and his wife, Sherri, met while attending Southwestern Assemblies of God University and were married on July 8, 1972. They have two children, Tammy and Brent. Both are married and are very active in the ministries of Gateway Church.

Jimmy Boggs - Executive Pastor
Rev. Jimmy Boggs has been a member of Gateway Church since 1984. He served as elected deacon for 5 years before receiving the divine call into ministry. He joined the Gateway Church staff as a part-time Associate Pastor in 1990. On September 1, 1993 he completed his calling into full-time ministry as Associate Pastor. Pastor Jimmy attended Southwestern Assemblies of God University. He completed his studies in pastoral ministries through Global Bible Institute in 1998. He was ordained as an Assemblies of God Minister in June of 2000. Pastor Jimmy and his wife, Susan, have been married since January 4, 1980. They are very proud of their two children, Brock and Shelbi, who are both serving the Lord at Gateway Church. Pastor Jimmy serves as Executive Pastor with passion for ministry opportunities in the community of Midlothian.

Russell Betts - Community and Connections Pastor
Russell Betts blessed Gateway Church by joining our congregation in July 2007. He is 42 years on earth, SINGLE, and is a proud father of one son, Dwayne, and papa to Kylin. Russell has been an ordained minister since 1987. He has pastored for 12 years and served as Founder and Chief Operating Officer for a nonprofit for six years. We welcomed Russell as Community and Connections Pastor in 2008.

Jeff Logue PhD, LPC - Counseling
Dr. Jeff Logue is the director of counseling services at Gateway Church, where he offers assistance to those dealing with depression; addiction; marital conflict; childhood trauma; and various clinical, personality, and mood disorders. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Pastoral Counseling, a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Southwestern Assemblies of God University, and has a Doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision from Regent University. He is a Licensed Minister, Licensed Professional Counselor, and Texas Board Approved Supervisor. He serves as Assistant Professor at Southwestern Assemblies of God University and has been working with Gateway Church to meet the needs of the community since 1995.

Matt Velasquez - Student Pastor
Pastor Matt has the drive and passion to helping teenagers become successful at home, in their schools, and most importantly, in their Christian walk. He’s an outgoing and energetic speaker whose story telling and illustrations provide a clear understanding of God’s Word to today’s students. Matt has worked with teenagers for over eight years and is continually reaching out to help whenever he can, wherever he can. He volunteers at the junior high and high school campuses within the Midlothian community assisting in various tutoring and mentoring programs. He graduated from the University of North Texas earning a BS with a major in Kinesiology and a minor in Social Sciences. Matt and his wife, Candice, have four amazing young boys; Jacob 11, Aaron 10, Jerry 8, and Charles Micah 7.
Brock Boggs - Children’s Pastor
James Brock Boggs is currently serving as the Kid’s Quake Children’s Pastor at Gateway Church. God placed a passion for children’t ministry in Brock’s heart when he was 12 years old. Instead of graduating from children’s church, he stayed and was mentored for several years by our former children’s ministers, Joseph and Jennifer Mena. He graduated from Life School with highest honors on May 18, 2007. In order to fulfill God’s calling into full-time ministry, he is currently attending Christ for the Nations Institute. In the near future, he plans to transfer to Southwestern Assemblies of God University to complete his degree in Children and Family Ministries. Brock has an incredible and unique connection to children of all ages.

Pedro Martinez - Spanish Congregation Pastor
Pastor Pedro is the senior pastor of the Hispanic ministry of Gateway Church. He studied in the National University Autonoma of Honduras and received a Degree in Agricultural Economics. In 1983, he had a personal encounter with Jesus Christ. In that same year, he entered to the Center of Qualification for Disciples (3 years) at Amor Viviente “Church Living Love” in his native country of Honduras. His greatest experiences come from being a married advisor, director of young people’s ministries, bible school teacher, director of home groups, and Associate Pastor.

Jennifer Mena - Finance Director
Peyton Haley - Worship Director
Peyton Haley is the Worship Director at Gateway Church. He is currently a student at Southwestern Assemblies of God University. Peyton attended Berklee College of Music where he pursued Vocal Performance. He has been blessed with the opportunity to sing background vocals for various recording artists, such as Chaka Khan, Anita Baker, Jennifer Holliday, and many more! Peyton has traveled all over the world and to various parts of the United States leading worship, singing, teaching, and learning different music and worship styles. He is currently working on a degree in Human Services: Counseling and Social Work. Music is not just a hobby for Peyton; it’s his passion and his heart. Along side Peyton is his beautiful fiancee, Rachel, who also attends Southwestern Assemblies of God University. Together they sing and share a passion for people who are lost and in need. We are blessed to have this wonderful couple be the newest addition to Gateway Church.
